On the field: Reliever David Riske made his first exhibition appearance after being brought along slowly from elbow surgery last September. Chicago's Wilson Betemit whacked his first pitch for a home run, but Riske settled down after that and got through the inning. "I was just trying to throw a strike on my first pitch of spring training and (Betemit) ambushed me," said Riske. "I'm very competitive, so I don't like doing that no matter what kind of game it is.
